VA Grant Approved Contractor — Arizona
VA home improvement grants like HISA, SAH, and SHA require contractors to complete specific paperwork and meet strict VA compliance standards before and after the job. We know the process inside and out — so your grant gets paid and your project doesn't stall.
Why Your Contractor Choice Matters
VA grant programs require contractors to submit specific documentation, adhere to VA construction and accessibility standards, and coordinate with VA representatives before and after work. Most contractors have never done this. We have — and we do it right, every time.
VA grants require detailed contractor cost estimates, licensing documentation, scope-of-work descriptions, and post-completion reports — all in VA-required formats. We prepare and submit everything correctly the first time, with no back-and-forth delays.
VA modification work must meet specific accessibility, safety, and construction standards to pass VA inspections and trigger grant disbursement. As a licensed Arizona contractor (ROC#359311), our work is built to satisfy those requirements completely.
Incomplete or incorrect contractor paperwork is the #1 reason VA grant projects stall before they begin. Because we understand the process, your project gets off the ground quickly — and your VA representative gets documentation they can act on without sending it back.

When a VA grant approves work, it doesn't just hand over money. The VA requires contractors to meet specific documentation and construction standards before releasing funds. Here's what we bring to every VA grant job — so you don't have to chase your contractor for paperwork.
Grant Programs We Work With
If you've been approved — or are in the process — we're the contractor to call. Each program below has its own VA paperwork requirements. We know them all. Contact your local VSO to confirm eligibility before requesting a work estimate from us.
HISA Grant — VA Form 10-0103
The HISA grant is the most frequently used VA home modification grant. It funds structural changes that improve safety and accessibility for veterans with service-connected disabilities. Once your VA physician prescribes a modification and the VA approves the grant, we take over — handling all required contractor paperwork and building the work to VA compliance standards.
Already approved? Call us for a free work estimate. We'll prepare your VA-compliant cost documentation and coordinate directly with your VA representative.
SAH Grant — 38 U.S.C. § 2101(a)
The SAH grant funds large-scale construction or remodeling for severely disabled veterans. It comes with a dedicated VA SAH agent who coordinates directly with the contractor — a process we've navigated successfully and are fully set up to handle.
SHA Grant — 38 U.S.C. § 2101(b)
SHA helps veterans adapt an existing home to accommodate a specific service-connected disability. Smaller in scope than SAH, but the VA contractor compliance requirements are identical — and we handle all of them.
TRA Supplemental Grant
TRA funds modifications to a family member's home while a veteran's permanent residence is being updated. Turnaround speed matters here — we prioritize TRA jobs and deliver fast without cutting corners on VA compliance.
VR&E / Chapter 31 — Independent Living Track
VR&E can fund home modifications as part of an Independent Living plan when a disability prevents employment. A VR&E counselor authorizes and coordinates the work — we're experienced working within that process and the documentation it requires.
Arizona Dept. of Veterans Services (ADVS)
Arizona provides supplemental home repair funding for qualifying veterans through ADVS. It can often be stacked on top of federal VA grants — meaning more covered work and less out of pocket. Contact ADVS at 602-255-3373 to check eligibility.
PCAFC — VA Caregiver Support Program
Veterans enrolled in PCAFC often need home modifications that help their caregiver provide safe, effective care. We complete this work with minimal disruption to care routines and coordinate with VA social workers when needed.
Do I Qualify?
We are contractors, not VA benefits advisors — we can't determine your eligibility and we don't take calls for that purpose. The information below is general guidance to help you have a more informed conversation with your VSO before you contact us.
Veterans Service Organizations provide free eligibility guidance and can walk you through the grant application process at no cost. Once you know what you're approved for, call us — we take it from there, handle the contractor side completely, and get your project moving.
